One Identity. Two Expressions.

A fashion-sector report, given the presence of an editorial: how do you make an information-rich publication look like something you would pick up?

The two directions

01 — Woven Geometry

Cinematic: fashion, flowing textile and Saudi architecture in one frame. Fabric carries the movement, the architecture holds the structure, and layered framing ties the cover to the layouts inside.

Woven Horizons takes it through immersive imagery; Culture Framed through geometric framing.

02 — The Living Mark

Graphic: bold squares, vivid colour and rhythm. One square recurs at every scale — covers, chapter openings, data — so the system is legible before a single word is read.

Identity Unbound disperses it into an energetic field; Identity Amplified concentrates the same language into one central block.

Highlights

Set the creative challenge before the design: balance expressive imagery against dense, structured content, so neither one wins at the other's expense.

Took each direction to four finished artefacts — cover, chapter opening, text spread and data spread — so both could be judged on the same evidence rather than on a mood board.

Built one visual foundation under both: deep indigo as the ground, with bright blue, plum, orange and pink as the accents. Ambroise STD carries the editorial voice; Arpona Sans and Effra CC Arabic hold hierarchy and readability across English and Arabic.

Result

Two distinct proposed directions on a shared foundation — one led by cinematic imagery and cultural reference, the other by colour and graphic rhythm. Either could be chosen without rebuilding the type or the palette underneath it.
