Heritage to horizon
A microsite whose hero carries one idea — heritage opening onto skyline — and whose layout has to hold that idea at every width.
How it was worked out
The three boards above are reconstructions of the design exploration, rebuilt from the original work — not scans of the first sketches, and not a record of user testing.
Highlights
Sketched the hero as a journey from heritage to skyline, then built the page structure around it — persistent section navigation across Leadership, Value, Continuity and Team.
Designed one reusable card system and reflowed it across three breakpoints: three columns on desktop, two on tablet, one on a phone, with the reading order unchanged.
Worked the mobile pattern through as its own flow — open the menu, choose a section, close and navigate — with the active state following the reader rather than resetting.
Result
One hierarchy that survives every width. The walkthrough above runs all three layouts together, so the reflow is visible rather than asserted.
